Chapter 43 She Fell Asleep in Class

Ling Tianyi took Xia Xiaoluo to the fanciest shopping mall to buy dancing clothes, dancing shoes and other stuff used in dancing for her.

Xia Xiaoluo was desperately happy. She was a key member of the school dance club in her middle school, but she never had decent dancing clothes and dancing shoes. She once asked Xia Youfeng and Zhu Yufen for those, but both of them ignored her and even scolded her. Xia Xiaoluo finally bought the dancing clothes and shoes for herself after two months of part-time jobs.

Today it was Ling Tianyi’s who paid the bills. Therefore, what they selected were the best and the most extravagant, which Xia Xiaoluo really loved very much.

On Monday morning, Xia Xiaoluo got up readily without Ling Tianyi’s exerting pressure on her. She made breakfast for him with her affection and kept happy all the time. Today, she was not reluctant to go to school at all. Instead, she happily went to her college after breakfast.

She was so off today not because of her sudden interest in studying but because she would be able to go to FLY Dance Club for registration.

According to the timetable, Xia Xiaoluo had four classes in the morning while none in the afternoon. Xia Xiaoluo decided to go to FLY Dance Club to find Ouyang Ziqian after lunch. She had always had a good impression on him for his courtesy.

Xia Xiaoluo came very early in order to occupy a seat in the back row. As soon as she walked into the classroom, however, she was caught by Fang Ruichen, who spoke to her in a rather peculiar voice, “Xia Xiaoluo, I thought you would be so sick that you might go to hell directly. I really did not expect that you should be on campus.”

“Sorry to let you down. I am too well to go to hell. The ticket for that was for you, devil. Get out of the way!” Xia Xiaoluo kicked Fang Ruichen, who blocked her way. Instantly, Fang Ruichen put his hands over his blew part with a pained expression, fixing Xia Xiaoluo with an angry stare.

“Hm! I paid you back the kick. Remember, I will definitely settle the score.” Finishing these words, Xia Xiaoluo bypassed Fang Ruichen who was in great suffering and took a seat in the back row of the lecture theatre. Today, she came early enough so that she did not have to sit in the first row.

“Are you okay?” Xia Jingru came over to Fang Ruichen and asked him with caring-look eyes before they realized it.

Xia Jingru was in love at first sight with Fang Ruichen at the opening ceremony. After that, she asked around and finally got the information about Fang Ruichen’s major and his class. At the thought of the fact that Xia Xiaoluo was in the same class with him, Xia Jingru felt so jealous.

On the weekend, Xia Jingru had asked her parents to transfer her major and her class to Fang Ruichen’s. But Xia Youfeng and Zhu Yufen did not agree with her. They hoped that their daughter could take over the family business. Therefore, her best choice was to attend Business School. Besides, Xia Xiaoluo was in Chinese Language Department. Considering Xia Jingru’s personality, their family company would possibly be destroyed by Ling Tianyi if Xia Jingru offended Xia Xiaoluo.

“Get out!” Fang Ruichen shouted at Xia Jingru, who instantly burst into tears.

Owing to her family’s refusal, Xia Jingru could not be transferred to the Chinese Language Department. So, Xia Jingru had come here specially to see Fang Ruichen, though she did not have any class in the morning today. She got up very early in the morning and put on makeup carefully. She picked up a decent suite. After that, she hurried to college only to be told “get out” by Fang Ruichen. She really felt very aggrieved.

Xia Xiaoluo saw Xia Jingru coming, but she was reluctant to greet her. To her, her stepsister who had the same father but a different mother with her, Xia Xiaoluo always kept her distance. Or, it must be herself who would be at a great disadvantage. Therefore, Xiao Xiaoluo pretended not to see Xia Jingru.

Fang Ruichen took a look at Xia Jingru’s deliberate pose. The V-collar of her dress was so low that he could see her cleavage that was shown to him on purpose. Pushing Xia Jingru away, Fang Ruichen rushed to the toilet directly. The kick that Xia Xiaoluo gave to him was so heavy that he needed to have a check of his blew part. When Fang Ruichen returned to the classroom, the teacher had already started the lecture. So, he was late again.

Xia Xiaoluo threw Fang Ruichen a contemptuous glace while the latter went straight to the back row of the classroom and took a seat next to Xia Xiaoluo.

“Hey, why are you sitting next to me?” Xia Xiaoluo was very upset.

“It’s me who should ask you, why are you sitting next to me?” Fang Ruichen whispered. At present, the teacher was lecturing to the students, so it was not suitable to shout loudly.

“It’s me who sat here first. Take a seat in the first row. I don’t want to sit with you.” Xia Xiaoluo was in a great depression. There were two persons who she hated most in Dwichen’s College, namely, Xia Jingru and Fang Ruichen.

When Xia Xiaoluo woke up, she found that the classroom was empty and Fang Ruichen was leaning next to her, not fully asleep.

“Hey, wake up? How hard-working, I think, you are! How can one imagine that you should be such a sound sleeper like a sleeping piggy in class?” Fang Ruichen moved his head close to Xia Xiaoluo, who immediately pushed away his head.

Taking a look at the time shown on her smartphone, Xia Xiaoluo was surprised that the third class nearly came to an end now! Today, the first two classes were Modern Chinese and the next two were College English. While she was having a nap, her classmates had finished one lecture and gone to the classroom for College English. But Xia Xiaoluo was totally unaware of it.

“You damn stupid! Why not wake me up?” Xia Xiaoluo was so angry that she shouted at Fang Ruichen.

Rubbing his ears, Fang Ruichen showed her an innocent look and said, “Please, you fell asleep and missed your class. How can you blame me for it?”

“Why shouldn’t I blame you for it? Had you not fallen asleep in class I would not have been infected by you. And I would not have fallen asleep.” Xia Xiaoluo was very depressed. All of a sudden, she somewhat hated the fact that classes in college were held in different classrooms.

Smoothing down his rumpled hair, Fang Ruichen said to Xia Xiaoluo, whose hair tumbled every which way, “You piggy Xia Xiaoluo, you’re really impervious to reason. How can you believe that it’s me who infected you? It’s obvious that you’re sick of studying yourself. You should shift the blame onto me! How can you women be so impervious? We’re close classmates sleeping together after all. Could you have any good manners?”

“By the way, since you missed the third class, how about letting me sleep together with you for a while?” Fang Ruichen began to poke fun at Xia Xiaoluo, waiting for her reaction with an evil smile.

“You… a nasty guy! Who will sleep with you? You devil, mind your words!” Xia Xiaoluo was so worried that Fang Ruichen should speak out of such misleading words.

“It’s true that we slept together. I’ve taken pictures. Have a check of it if you don’t believe me.” Fang Ruichen took out his iPhone and showed her the pictures.

Xia Xiaoluo blushed and paled since she had drooled and picked her nose unconsciously in the pictures. Besides, there were pictures where the nasty Fang Ruichen put his arms around her neck, which seemed they were very intimate…

She had already made a mistake to have a nap in class. In addition to that, she fell asleep leaning closely against a young man. If her jealous husband saw the picture, then a punishment would not be enough. She must be torn into pieces and then thrown directly into a river as fishing bait.

Xia Xiaoluo could imagine what expression Ling Tianyi would wear on his face when he saw these photos. At the thought of this scene, she could not help shivering with cold.

“Good pictures, aren’t they? How about uploading them to the BBS of our college? It will definitely make a huge splash!” Fang Ruichen deliberately teased Xia Xiaoluo and he felt it really interesting to bully this girl.

“You… you…, Xia Xiaoluo, how dare you to break my phone!” Fang Ruichen flew into a great rage.

“You asked for it and you have only yourself to blame, for you had taken pictures of me! And you’ve infringed my portraiture rights,” said Xia Xiaoluo while she trampled on the dead smartphone on the floor to the thorough death.

“I’ll go to have lunch. Take care and don’t worry about seeing me out!” Xia Xiaoluo said these words and strode off, taking all her stuff.

Standing where he was, Fang Ruichen clenched his fists, deciding to mete out a severe punishment for her.

Destroying an iPhone would not matter that much for him. As the son of the board of Dwichen’s College, however, he could not be bullied by such a devil girl. He would teach her a lesson!
