Chapter 347 - I'll be seeing you soon.

"S-stop, please! We didn’t steal these, they gave it to us!"

Michael, who just started making his way to where the taxis were earlier suddenly heard the sound of sobbing of a girl who sounded quite young, and when he looked over he saw two little girls, one of them is around ten years old and another one was a small frail-looking girl around six or seven years old, and both of them are dressed in clothes whose colors had already faded and currently surrounded by a group of goons a street away from him at the front, and where they are currently hanging onto something that one of the men are trying to snatch from the two kids while the people around them just walked past the scene with pitying gazes as they didn’t dare to intervene.

Michael frowned at the sight of that, especially when a bunch of grown-ass men are bullying two kids.

"P-please! We didn’t s-steal this!" shouted the older-looking girl while crying, and eyed the people around them asking for help through her eyes, but her actions were futile as those people just averted their eyes away from her.

"If I say you two stole it, then you stole it! Let go, or I will beat you two up!" said the man in a tug of war with the two kids while laughing along with his companions.

"Kid! Let go!"

And the man was had finally gotten fed up with their attitude and raised one of his hands as he planned to hit them.

Swoosh!

The man’s faced darkened as his hand descended towards the girl, and the girl just closed her eyes in fear but she still didn’t let go of the small brown pouch.

Swish!

Bam!

"I’ll educate the two of you on behalf of your par-offft!"

His words were cut off when he suddenly welcomed a big boot to his face!

"Argh!"

Thud!

"B-bro!"

"Holy sh*t!"

The man was sent crashing to the ground, and his fellow goons who were dumbfounded for a second there quickly rushed to him and helped him up.

Michael sighed while looking at them and couldn’t help but say, "The streets of this country is really messed up"

The man who was kicked earlier by Michael and seems to be the leader of this group of thugs is glaring at Michael with a grimace while holding his face, and yelled, "Why are you bastards still standing there!? Get him!"

Michael smiled and lightly shook his head as he placed down his two cases on the ground.

"On behalf of your country, I’ll clean you guys up, and they should thank me for it!"

Michael charged forward, and the thugs also charged towards him a beat later, and the place quickly descended into a brawl.

Michael caught a kick coming from the side, and wrapped his arms around the leg, and use the person who owns that particular leg into a terrifying weapon.

"Wha- let goooooo!"

"Argh!"

"B-bastard! Quickly get off!"

Michael spun and threw him towards his companions, as they crashed and burned on the ground.

In the face of Michael, these menacing-looking men are like children who are trying to fight an a.d.u.l.t, as Michael would just dodge or block their attacks and would retaliate with a ferocity they had never seen before all this while.

Bam!

Michael sent the last thug flying with a right hook on his face and sent him crashing to the ground where his fellow companions are now groaning in pain, while their leader had already fallen on the ground on his butt and looked at Michael, shaking in his boots.

"Y-you! Who are you!? Do you know who w-"

"I don’t and I don’t care" Michael coldly cut him off, which forced the thug to shut his mouth quickly.

Michael then ignored him, and looked at his surroundings, and said, "Was it fun?"

The people who had been watching the spectacle this whole time were jolted awake by his words as they quickly lowered their heads and resumed their activities, and some quickly left the scene.

And all this time, his two cases containing his things are still sitting in the middle of the street, but no one dared to approach it or even steal them as they just circled around it like it was some sh*t in the middle of the road.

Michael then turned his attention to the two girls who were standing in the corner and had the "privilege" of having the VIP seating of the show earlier.

"Are you two okay?" said Michael, as he showed them his brightest smile, which seemed to help as the shaking of their bodies due to being scared of him had disappeared.

"Y-yes, thank you...so much, Uncle," said the eldest of the two as her hands kept fidgeting along with her eyes.

Michael’s expression froze at the word "Uncle", as he didn’t expect to be called like that when he looked quite young for his age.

"Hmm...just call me Mister, okay?"

"Yesh mishter! Y-you were so awesome in defeating those b-bad people!" the younger girl suddenly opened her mouth cheerfully while gesturing with her hands which made Michael chuckled as he ruffled her head.

"Right!? This Mister here is super awesome, aren’t I?" Michael laughed.

The little girl’s eyes lit up and nodded cutely, "Uhm! Y-you’re like a shuperhero like those on...on the TV!"

"Hahaha!"

"Anyway, why are you two here of all places? This place is certainly not for kids to be roaming around this late at night, especially for someone your age" asked Michael after a couple of questions more.

Then the eldest of the two called Amaya told him that their mother actually works here as a courtesan, from which Michael couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at that as he quickly figured out how their mother must be so irresponsible to allow her kids to see the kind of work she has, and even left the two of them to their own devices as he had already realized that the two kids might have gone begging for money somewhere today and was just coming back home this late at night.

Of course, Michael knows his limits and easily wouldn’t stick his nose into this kind of thing.

"Well, move along then girls, and go straight home, yeah?" said Michael.

"Yes! Thank you so much for your help, Mister!"

"Bye mishter! thank..you!"

The two girls smiled at him and quickly said their goodbyes and left as Michael watched them disappear.

"You saw that, right?" Michael suddenly opened his mouth, and his actions made him look like he was talking to himself.

"Y-yes"

Suddenly, a nervous stricken person appeared from the alleyway just behind Michael, that person was so nervous that he kept glancing at the thugs who are still lying on the street, his face a little bit pale.

"I’ll forgive you for following me since I arrived here, but if something bad befalls those two kids..."

Michael slowly turned his head around and looked at the man, his lips slowly stretch into a smile that looked like a demon.

As even those people around them who saw that smile, couldn’t help but tremble for a second there as their back was suddenly covered in a cold sweat.

"I’ll hold you and your boss...accountable"

"Y-yes, we’ll make sure to keep them safe, sir!" the man hurriedly answered respectfully while he shot a cold glare towards the thug leader earlier.

"Hiiiiee!" the thug leader shrieked in fear and fainted as he had long realized who that person that just appeared.

Michael then sighed, and just ignored them and went to pick up his two cases and made his way towards his original destination.

’How messy’

Michael wasn’t even surprised at how chaotic this place is, because he had even seen a couple of police officers earlier in the vicinity, but they just ignored the actions of thugs from earlier, and even after the brawl that happened, they still didn’t dare to come forward.

After Michael left, the man from earlier was having a headache because of what happened, then he looked at the thug who was causing trouble earlier, and felt his anger rising once again.

He walked over and kicked the guy, trying to wake him up.

"Oi, you, get up, you bastard! How dare you cause trouble here!?"

On the other hand, Michael was already inside a taxi and currently reading the information of his first target.

"Jhin Acob, I’ll be seeing you soon"
