Chapter 57 Knight’s Mount House

After Beaver and his senior brother built it up, Zhou Yu found that the pub was surprisingly big. It was not a kind of pub that could be managed by Jack alone. When Jack happily entered the pub, Zhou Yu carefully checked the state of the building. The result was: Luhua pub, the owner – Jack, no services could be provided at the moment.

After Jack put the egg in the hatching house, he closed the door immediately. Saying that it was a business secret, he even refused to let Zhou Yu have a look inside the hatching house.

Oh well, as long as it could be hatched safely.

Originally, Zhou Yu thought that it would take a long time to hatch the egg. It would be, at least, one month. However, the rules of the ACG world was really strange. In the next morning, Zhou Yu heard tender chirping noises coming from mini Luhua Village. When he got out to check it, a baby chicken appeared in the pub.

It really was a chicken!

Whether it was in the eyes of the ACG world or the eyes of reality, all he saw was a chicken ‘Damnit, where is the mount that was promised?’ ‘Don’t tell me that adventures will have to ride chickens to defeat their enemies…’ Actually, although the little Moe chick was just born, it was already half as tall as Jack. Jack looked very happy. His beloved mount was said to have been eaten by a dragon. Now the appearance of the little Moe chick could soothe his sadness slightly. Jack also gave it the name of his original mount “Diandian”. He hoped that the spirit of his mount would last this way.

But Zhou Yu was still worried because the growth rate of chicks was often shocking. If it was kept in the pub all the time, it would jump out without spending much effort in less than a month. At that time, it would be nightmares for all other buildings. It would be like a giant breaking into a small town, destroying everything on its way.

Regarding this question, Jack answered, “Please rest assured that when Diandian grows up, it will be arranged to live outside. Making a chicken house should not be difficult for the craftsmen in the village, right?”

That would not be a problem at all.

After school, the children came to play in Zhou Yu’s yard on time. Then they saw brother Yu was assembling a pile of wooden timbers. The carpenter beaver’s principle was that nails must not be used in his work. The ends of each piece of the timbers had been meticulously designed, so that they could be connected together seamlessly. It was just a regular chicken house. However, it had been designed like a palace.

Soon after, a small wooden house that was roughly one meter high, two meters wide and three meters long appeared in the corner of Zhou Yu’s yard. After confirming that there was no problem with splicing everywhere, the carpenter beaver nodded and finished the inspection.

Children thought that it was a new building model. They all came to have a look at it one by one, but then they saw a sign hanging at the door of the wooden house with the words “Knight’s Mount House” written on it.

“Brother Yu, it’s just a chicken house. I thought you were going to build the Great Wall.”

The Little Rat was deadly straightforward. But soon he found that there were no small animals in the yard, so he continued to ask, “Brother Yu, do you want to raise chickens or ducks? With just your farming skill, it’s better to buy some full-grown animals directly. Otherwise, many babies would die in your hand.”

Zhou Yu could not get rid of his reputation of being “a demonic vegetable abuser”, after all the vegetables, that he had planted in the last autumn, died out. Even though the vegetables he planted later on in the winter actually grew quite well. However, who had seen a small vegetable field with more than a dozen kinds of vegetables? He could not even grow plants properly, let along raise animals. Did he really think that raising animals would be easy?

“Rat, Rat, come here quickly. There’s a small chick in Brother Yu’s flower house!”

Having found Diandian in the flower greenhouse, some kids began to cheer loudly. If it weren’t for Jack, who was constantly trying to calm Diandian down, Diandian would’ve been scared by them.

The little chick was too small. If he gave it to those children to play, it might not be able to survive. Therefore, Zhou Yu refused to let them get into the flower greenhouse. With Jack, Diandian’s safety would not be a problem. He just needed to wait until it grew a little bit bigger and then let it out.

After fishing with Diandian’s accommodation, Zhou Yu went out to the food re-spawning point to collect some food for Diandian. Diandian was too small to be able to find its own food. It would not be able to digest rice as well. It could only rely on the mysterious food that no one knew what the ingredients were.

Zhou Yu could only wish that it could grow up healthily and safely.
