“A little,” Ruan Danchen answered honestly. She had decided to tell him the truth, no matter the severity of cases or even if it was just her feeling, after the job interview on that day.

“It’s too early right now, we can just leave at the usual timing. Let Youxuan sleep a while more,” Ruan Danchen and Qi Chenglin sat up together but she held his arm back.

He saw Qi Youxuan sleeping in a sort of luxurious sprawl upon entering his room.

Qi Chenglin was unsure since when Qi Youxuan’s pajamas was lifted up, revealing a fair-skinned abdomen which despite one whole night of fasting, remained rounded and protruded.

His left calf was curled inwards and pointed towards the right corner of the bed, and his fair, chubby feet appeared especially cute in his sleeping posture.

His arms were raised above his head as if surrendering, and the corner of his blanket covered half of his abdomen. His mouth was wide open in his deep slumber, with saliva trailing down from the corner of his mouth.

Qi Chenglin smiled at the sight of his sleeping posture. He walked towards Qi Youxuan and placed his hand on Qi Youxuan’s abdomen, which was huge in comparison with the abdomen.

Qi Chenglin said with a deep, calm voice while shaking his abdomen, “It’s time to wake up now.”

Qi Youxuan was having a dream about him eating a pizza and swallowed his saliva with a loud slurp before he was shaken back to reality. Then, he felt a coolness wrapping around him in a semi-conscious state.

Qi Chenglin went to lift the blanket up instead but his attempt proved to be a failure since Qi Youxuan wrapped himself up tightly like a cocoon.

Qi Chenglin stared at Qi Youxuan for a while, then he went to the washroom all of a sudden and came back with his hands wet momentarily.

Qi Youxuan continued his slumber peacefully, not knowing the danger that was slowly creeping up to him. Qi Chenglin tried to lift up the blanket with his dry hand and when a space was created within the blanket, he slipped his wet hand inside.

On the next second, the kid let out a cry and jumped up. Now, he was wide awake.

He turned around and glared at the culprit with his eyes wide opened indignantly. “Dad, what are you doing?”

He almost froze to death!

They could control the water output temperature in the house and based on the temperature of Qi Chenglin’s wet hand, his father purposely washed his hands under the coldest setting.

It is winter now and he just did not feel sorry for his son!

“You don’t want to wake up when I called out to you nicely,” Qi Chenglin stared at Qi Youxuan calmly and answered in a flat tone.

Qi Youxuan had a bad temper upon waking up and now, he was exasperated. He reached out to his clock with his chubby hand and pointed at the time to Qi Chenglin. “There’s still half an hour left! Why are you waking me up so early? It’s tiring enough to study, can’t you let me have a good rest?”

Qi Youxuan returned to the washroom immediately. He stepped back on the stool, spit out the foams and rinsed his mouth before exiting the washroom again. “Dad, we owned the company, right? Why does she need to familiarize herself with the environment when you can just let her be in charge?”

“Your Aunt Ruan wants to be low profile and doesn’t want to show off in the company,” Qi Chenglin answered.

Qi Youxuan blushed upon listening to his statement and said in embarrassment, “Aunt Ruan’s personality is exactly the same as mine.”

She went to the dining area and just when she was about to ask for Qi Youxuan’s whereabouts, she saw the father and son sitting at the dining table with breakfast in front of them. There was breakfast prepared even at her empty seat.

This made Ruan Danchen felt embarrassment, and she asked while sitting down, “Did you guys wait me for long?”

“No, we just got down not long ago,” Qi Chenglin said calmly.

Qi Youxuan lowered his head and started eating his porridge, thinking that his father came down here the earliest.
