Chapter 351 - 8.76 First Blue Star - Nightmarish Memories I

Zhi Yue had started panicking about everything that was happening before him. The Lord Hei he knew is someone who would never treat his life like this. But he knew the reason for it. Ever since that night the interaction between his host and the Lord God's soul fragment's vessel had either been cold or warm.

This reaction is based on the result that angered his host. Zhi Yue knew that Lord Hei hadn't completely forgiven him or Marshal Altair Sirius for what happened that night. But an outsider soul like them, someone who is bound to be their enemy.

Despite that, Feng Jing stood at the center with a huge Phoenix-Dragon Hybrid Quantum beast looking at the black sky above him. His face was devoid of emotion as if overlooking a passing cloud, he stares at the thunder tribulation which is about to hit him at any moment but there is only sleepiness tainting those silver eyes. The corner of his lips trickles a spill of blood as if blood would flow out once he parted those thin yet bloodless lips.

His phoenix eyes had hints of tiredness as he stared at Marshal Altair Sirius and Zhi Yue just beyond the barrier he had erected. Unless someone stronger than him appeared it is close impossible for someone else to destroy the barrier. When he moved his gaze to stare at the pale face of the Marshal, Feng Jing's lip slightly upturned. No one else knew if it's a taunt or just a simple smile but it was able to stir Marshal Sirius's heart completely.

Rumbles~ Crack!

A huge bolt of lightning finally comes down. Targeting the lonesome figure of his beloved at the center of the enclosed land. This scene made Altair Sirius helpless at the same time terrified. His eyes lingered only at Feng Jing's smiling figure.

The Marshal grabbed the clothes above his heart, at this moment the pain within his chest is beyond what he had experienced before. But his host turned deaf ears on his pleas. He suddenly turned his head to ask his Lord God's soul fragment to work together with him so they could at least make a small crack on the barrier but when he looked at the Marshal, Zhi Yue was dumbfounded.

The sharp and piercing glance from Marshal Sirius is so familiar to him. It was the usual authoritative gaze he receives from his big boss, the Lord God.

He started stuttering in shock,

"Y-You are...?"

Zhi Yue asked but he was ignored.

Marshal Sirius turned back his gaze on the figure of his beloved inside the barrier. He reached out to touch him. Once the tip of his fingers landed on the invisible barrier, darkness taints it and spreads fast enough that everyone witnessed this scene. Marshal Sirius entered the barrier and unlike before he was able to go inside unhindered.

Before the barrier turns completely back, Reine, Feng Jing's quantum beast, felt a strong qi throwing him out of the approaching black barrier. The strength coming from that qi was so strong that it left the quantum beast helpless. A loud bird cry was heard echoing paired with the figure of a huge phoenix flying away like someone grabs its neck and throws it away. Roi, the Black Dragon King, who was encircling the barrier near the dark clouds saw its shrieking partner and came over to comfort it.

CAAAAAWWWSSSSS~

RROOOOOAAAAARR~

Roi felt that his master had changed but at the same time not. It is his master but this master is a lot stronger and fiercer. The aura this Marshal possesses is different from before. It is eerier and much more dangerous.

Everyone could only watch as a black dome appeared out of nowhere. The tribulation thunder continuously struck on the black dome but it left nothing on the black barrier. It kept striking until loud sounds of cracking were heard in the area. But the dark dome is like an immovable fortress, not even the largest lightning bolt left a scratch on it.

Meanwhile, inside the black dome, countless will-o'-the-wisp appears floating scattered in the area providing light. Feng Jing who was greatly weakened by breaking the heavenly laws just stood at the center of the darkness without any expression on his face. But his silver eyes now emit frostiness that could rival the glaciers.

Feng Jing murmured,

"Darkness and fire elements? Is it the enemies from the outside of this world? Did they come for me?"

When all of the sudden he was attacked by the darkness within the dome, Feng Jing tries to defend himself by freezing the area around him but unfortunately, his vessel is thoroughly spent this time. He was able to turn a part of the area into ice but the power of darkness overpowered him. When Feng Jing tries to use qi beyond his body, the darkness could no longer hesitate and restrain him, including his godly abilities.

The darkness gently wraps around him even blindfolding his eyes and gently restraining his qi. Feng Jing closed his eyes waiting for death. Unless the one who kills him is his sole weakness no matter how many times he is killed, he would revive. What Feng Jing didn't know is that this gesture of him welcoming his death without any second thought makes someone extremely uncomfortable. Feng Jing didn't know why the qi coming from this darkness is making him relax and comfortable. It didn't take a while for him to completely fall asleep. His memories surge like waves coming into his mind without hints of stopping. He could hear his own voice and his subordinate, Warden Lou's voice. It wasn't the same as their original voice but based on their memories this is indeed his own.
