Chapter 488 - 11.14 First Green Star - Haunted Asylum (3)

Within the Haunted Asylum, there are some players who had met an ending not much different from what the original Han Ya had ended up with. But only he is unlucky enough to meet the Boss NPC and even meet a Demon Lord class NPC afterward. Two female players meet and schemed at each other for the extra gold coins by killing one another.

The Player count had gone from 6 down to 4.

Han Ya, who is no longer counted as a player, is pretending to be one. Was not recognized by the abyssal world yet suddenly regained a new manager after the world's laws noticed that he lives as Han Ya. A fist-sized white fur ball with angel wings and halo appeared in front of him quivering like a newly born quail.

[Hih?! N-No way! G-G-General!!?]

The former undead General who is now called Han Ya stared at the white furball coldly.

"Pretend to become my manager. I am under the mission of the Evil God. You will consider me as Han Ya, this human player."

said the undead general who calls himself Han Ya.

[Y-Yes, Boss!!]

"Treat me as a player from now on."

[Hih! Yes, Boss. I am your manager, Tian. From the word Tianshi which means angel. You are currently in the Movie 'Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum and your role are to be one of the live streamers.

D-Do you wish to turn on the streaming platform live?]

"Gonjiam? An Asylum ha? No wonder the venue had ended up here. Unfortunately, the Evil God had come over to this hospital and ordered all the human players to be eliminated."

said Demon Han Ya as he recalled his Lord talking about sparing a human with phoenix-shaped eyes and silver irises. He decided to ask his manager if a player like that appeared in this movie. "Among the original six players, is there one with silver eyes?" he asked.

The small white-winged fur ball tilted his whole body in confusion, then he decided to check the whole movie's recorded videos and found none under the requirements his boss is looking for.

[Tian'er is not sure but... There are no players with original argent eyes but the possibility of him existing is not impossible as there are some skills that would only activate using eyes as medium and it wouldn't be surprising if his or her eyes change in shade for it to be activated.]

"Um. The mission."

[Y-Yes!

Main Mission: Escape the basement which is also the cursed room 402 where the Boss NPC lives.

Reward: 3000 gold coins and a skill card.

Side mission and rewards.

10 gold coins per one kill of the following: (Monster, ghost, or any inhuman entity)

100 gold per one kill (Player)

1000 gold - killing the Movie's Boss NPC.

Note:

One can leave the movie as long the main mission is completed or the Movie ended.

The movie would end when all players died or only one player remained.

The movie would end once the Boss NPC is killed.]

When manager Tian saw the main mission had long turned red, he realized that the original player Han Ya had failed. After the Big boss had taken over his identity this failure had been considered his as well. He was sweating with cold sweats and did not know how to explain it to the demon lord before him. But of course, there is no way that the boss didn't notice the weirdness of Manager Tian.

Narrowing his eyes dangerously, demon Han Ya stared at the white furball flying around. It trembled as soon his eyes met with it.

"Out with it."

[Main mission failure of the original player. After the boss ate his soul his failure had been recorded as yours. Even if the boss completed this movie, you would still be dragged to hell or need to enter the massacre game mode afterward!]

"I see."

That was his only comment as he looks at the surroundings looking for the Boss NPC who rules the territory he is in. He saw a female with long black hair in a white dress shaking in the corner covering her face.

She is shaking so badly as she murmurs continuously the words 'You cannot see me.' Of course! Her wish was unfulfilled because as soon as the new Han Ya noticed her from her hiding place he immediately pulled her out.

SHRIEKS~

"Too noisy."

A dark expression appeared on Han Ya's face as he covered his ears. He kicked the screaming NPC boss and his eyes were cold and indifferent.

[B-Boss, if you want to escape the room. You need to ask her to open the door or kill the Boss of this movie.]

Han Ya spoke,

"You heard that? I won't eat you as long as you let me out of this place."

As if hearing the words of her savior she reluctantly lifted her head to look at Han Ya. The man in front of him looks so much like her prey who was about to become her food a few minutes ago but suddenly this food had become a monster that could eat her instead. She immediately sent this menace out of her room and teleported him somewhere farthest to her place.

Before Han Ya and his Manager Tian could even react, they were suddenly transported to one of the hospital laboratories within the asylum.

"Where is this?"

asked Han Ya.

[Boss, she teleported you to the farthest location from her room. This is the laboratory area within the Asylum. Does the boss wish to turn on the live stream and start the movie?]

"Do it."

Han Ya just looked around at the ruined area of a former glorious laboratory as he noticed some dark energy that transformed part of the hospital in a temporary movie for Gonjiam.

This is a mirror dimension. A similar world to the original yet it does not affect the original world. It was interconnected and not completely detached. Once he found the door he walked towards it calmly with no expression on his face.

He left the live streaming platform for his manager to control.

'God! Who the hell is this handsome man!? A new player?

'Impossible! Look at how calm he is inside a haunted location alone!'

'Is this a big boss? He doesn't look afraid at all!'

Ignoring the live stream comments Han Ya was following the road and found a blind man leaning on the empty hallway. He looks so lonely yet so serene. This beautiful picture made his newly attained heartbeats beyond control. But this is only the obsession left behind by the original Han Ya whose soul was eaten by the under knight.

His feet brought him to where the blind man was.

Meanwhile, Professor An Yuan was able to leave after buying a virtual map in his head. This would allow him to see the map and the people and monsters in it with the map. The map itself was quite expensive and all his starter gold coins were used to buy it. But this map is a one-time use, if he failed his mission in this movie he would be penniless and his outcome would be unknown.

[My player this map can only be used in this Movie. After this, once you failed to complete the mission, not only you would be pulled into an extra game which is a massacred game where you have to put your life in line to survive. But the rewards for successfully completing that insane mode would be richer than any movie.

Hm? My player uses the virtual map someone is approaching.]

An Yuan did as he was told and saw that a green dot on the map was moving towards him. A green dot means human and red for monsters and ghosts. Even knowing that the one approaching him is human he didn't dare to put down his defense after all in this game players can kill other players.

Meanwhile, because An Yuan is currently blind he didn't notice that his manager was trembling once the man had stopped in front of his player. He isn't stupid, the aura this man possesses is extremely similar to one of the big bosses in Abyssal World. He instantly recognized him as the Undead Knight that serves the Evil God himself like the Executioner.

[G-Greetings! L-Hmpp!!]

GRABBED!

This black fur ball was suddenly grabbed by a large hand stopping him from speaking. When he saw the big boss gesture silence and saw his colleague the little angel smirking at him he realized that the big boss is on a mission. Manager Gui was only released when he moved his body up and down to signify his agreement.

On the other hand, Professor An Yuan smells the familiar scent of books on the person standing in front of him. It was quite similar to the scent that one of his friends has. Han Ya likes to stay in libraries and places full of books and papers. But the man in front of him doesn't have a carefree presence from before. Instead, it was heavy and made it hard to breathe as if this man was looking down on him.

Professor An Yuan's instincts were right. At this moment Han Ya was looking at him from above and observing him with a scrutinizing gaze. On his face, an expression of coldness and bewilderment were mixed up.

Seeing the little human backing away from him instinctively, demon Han Ya couldn't help but corner him on the wall; he even grabbed his thin waist, preventing him from escaping.

"A'Yuan? Can you not see me? Why are you blind?"

said Han Ya trying to replicate the way the original speaks towards this human.

While talking to this human he calls A'Yuan, he would usually use a gentle and pampering tone as if he wanted to spoil the man to the heavens.

Hearing the familiar tone from Han Ya, An Yuan unconsciously lowered his defenses and slowly closed in towards the man's embrace. He couldn't see and be unable to gauge the distance well and his forehead on the man's solid chest.

"Xiao Ya! I... bonk* Hiss! Ouch! Did I hit a wall, so hard..."

said An Yuan as he used his hands to squeeze the chest in front of him. It wasn't on purpose as the man couldn't see but at this moment his actions were a bit perverted.

[No! My player is blind!]

, replied Little Devil.

Hearing the voices of the two chubby furballs, An Yuan realized that the one he just grabbed just now is not a wall but Han Ya's chest. Thinking about this he retracts his hands from the man's chest with blushing cheeks.

Under the eyes of Han Ya, this human looks so adorable, and wished to tease him more. He lowered his head near the ears of the professor. His breathing can be felt and heard so close to An Yuan's ear making his cheeks even redder than a tomato.

"Hm~ is it really that hard? Let me see your forehead."

His words seem normal but his actions are definitely not. Now both of his arms were wrapped around the human's thin waist and hugging him closer.

"Ah! Why are you hugging me Xiao Ya!?"

asked Professor An Yuan while panicking. This was the first time he felt someone hug him like this. It felt embarrassing yet comforting at the same time.

Deep inside his heart, this new world without his sight left him worried for his life. Though the map might be useful it wouldn't be as precise as seeing the light itself. The sudden warmth from Han Ya's hug slowly calms down his hidden anxiety.

Meanwhile, demon Han Ya could feel him suddenly stiffening and sways his hands as if he doesn't know where to put them. The blind man couldn't even see his eyes full of entertainment and happiness. In the end, he chooses what his beating hard is telling him to do and didn't kill the human player in front of him.. But that doesn't mean the other players would be spared like this little blind man he adores.
