Each head of the Yamata no Orochi could unleash a different unique energy attribute. Destruction followed everywhere it passed. Moreover, jets of black water sprayed all over the surroundings, corroding everything that came in contact with the water.

The group of Japanese all retreated. It seemed like they weren’t able to do anything at all.

If things continued on, the situation would only grow from bad to worse.

As the main forces of the battle, Fuuma Taro and the goddess exchanged a glance as they nodded resolutely. They held onto their porcelain bottle and bamboo tube as they muttered incantations and folded hand seals, aiming the opening of their respective items toward the shikigamis.

“Return!”

The Shuten-Doji and Kyuubi no Kitsune had no way to resist. They howled in misery and a moment later, an image of them appeared like a tattoo on the bodies of Fuuma Taro and the goddess.

Human and Divine as One!

Their bodies immediately transformed. Fuuma Taro became an evil demon with two horns on his head. Vast amounts of devil qi radiated behind him as the shrieks and howls of ghosts rang out unceasingly.

The goddess transformed into a charming fox maiden that was half-fox and half-human. Nine fluffy tails swayed behind her, brimming with intense might.

Fuuma Taro’s entire body was wrapped in a demonic wind. He took a step forward and his body spun. With a saber in his hand, he danced through the air, slashing out a beautiful arc. A vast saber force was generated from his slash, transforming into a material force and becoming a great saber-image over 50 meters. It wanted to slice the great serpent into twain.

The body of the Yamata no Orochi was too large; it wasn’t able to evade this slash cleanly and had to endure the blow. One of the snake heads was sliced off, revealing white bones as fresh blood spurted from the wound in the neck.

“Amaterasu!” That Japanese goddess cried in a low voice as her nine tails moved, joining together into one. On the tip of the tail, a strange-looking black flame appeared. This black flame didn’t emit light or heat; it silently crackled and was incomparably bizarre.

This was none other than the legendary world-destroying flame. The black flames of Amaterasu landed on the Yamata no Orochi, instantly incinerating it. The black flames could burn through everything in the world and wouldn’t be doused even if the whole ocean was poured on it. In fact, pouring anything on it would only cause the flames to burn even more intensely. Very soon, another one of the snake heads was taken out and burned into ashes.

After the two of them fused with the greater demons they subdued, their combat prowess explosively increased which destroyed two of the Yamata no Orochi’s heads the moment they acted.

Yamata no Orochi, no, it shouldn’t be called the eight-branched great serpent but six-branched great serpent instead.

The Yamata no Orochi writhed in agony, shooting out a flood of that jet black water. After that, each of the six heads shot out different types of energy—thunder, fire, ice—forming an energy vortex that engulfed the group of Japanese.

Fuuma Taro’s entire body was cloaked in demonic qi. His saber arts were incredibly sharp as he continued to launch a barrage of attacks. In a radius of ten meters, a swath of destruction followed the path of his saber, slicing apart everything.

Meanwhile, the Japanese goddess was like a peacock displaying its tail. She controlled the black flames and was like Amaterasu descending to the mortal world, destroying everything with the divine black flames.

The two of them didn’t fear the power of the great serpent. They rushed out and engaged the Yamata no Orochi in close combat.

Fighting the world-destroying demon beast with the tiny bodies of humanity, if this scene was seen by the Japanese, they would simply feel that heroes in their myths and legends had just come alive.

At this moment, the katana of the Daitengu slashed forth, brimming with a power capable to annihilate everything and opening up a wound on the turtle shell-like abdomen of the Yamata no Orochi. Boiling blood flowed all over the ground as the glint of a silver giant sword flashed brightly.

A figure sped forth, moving like an apparition. Upon grabbing the Kusanagi Sword, that figure ruthlessly pulled it out.

The Yamata no Orochi howled in agony. Its giant body unceasingly shrank until it got absorbed into the Kusanagi Sword; an image of the Yamata no Orochi was imprinted on it.

“Who are you?” Fuuma Tarou was both shocked and angered. They were about to kill the Yamata no Orochi, yet somebody actually stole their kill? Who could be so audacious?

“You are not Yamamoto Ichiro!” The eyes of the goddess gleamed sharply as though wanting to pierce through Feng Lin’s disguise and see his real appearance.

Feng Lin didn’t bother with them. His hands held onto the Kusanagi Sword, and he could feel an evil energy flowing into his body. For some reason, he actually felt that the limit of his body was going to break apart. His vitality stats were surging rapidly.

97, 98, 99, 100…

His vitality stat shot up like a rocket, not stopping despite reaching the 100 point mark and directly breaking through the limits of the human body.
