Chapter 249: Blazing Violet-Golden Eaglet

“I planted the Bottle Gourd Brothers from bottle gourd seeds. I’ll never believe I would get Bottle Gourd Brothers from a daemonic mystic item too!”

Eventually, Jiang He resisted the impulse of uprooting the bottle gourd vines.

They were the eggs of the Golden-Crowned Black Eagle which Jiang He had planted. Jiang He had imagined that a giant tree bearing hundreds of eggs would appear, and he could have one every day when that happened.

The egg laid from the coupling between a top Feral King like the Golden-Crowned Black Eagle and the Feral Emperor Golden-Winged Roc would definitely not be low in nutritional value.

The little head appeared very delighted after seeing Jiang He, and it chirped a few times before continuing to peck the egg.

Its beak appeared soft and not hard, but was very powerful once it started pecking. Since the eggshell was quite tough as well, sparks flew as the pecking continued, although it was soon pecked apart.

After that, an eaglet with fluffy golden down all over its body stepped out of the egg.

It was no different from a chick, aside from being over twenty times larger. Moreover, it was wobbling since it was newly born, and it was flapping its fluffy little wings as it chirped and lunged towards Jiang He.

Jiang He shifted sideways to evade it, and the eagle dropped to the ground.

It got to its feet, hanging its head as it chirped, its little teary eyes appearing rather sad.

Jiang He turned towards Dumbo who was lying on its back, chewing on a carrot while wearing baggy shorts with flowery prints.

“Dumbo, what’s the little one saying?” He asked.

Dumbo tilted its head and listened for seconds before snickering.

“It’s calling you mommy, Master.”

Damn it!

Jiang He’s face turned dark. Being called gramps by the Bottle Gourd Brothers notwithstanding, why did the golden eaglet call him mommy to?

That being said, he seemed to have read somewhere that chicks that hatched would imprint on the first person they see, and consider them their mommy. Could that be the same for the golden eaglet?

“Chirp!”

The golden eaglet continued chirping.

Jiang He scowled and yelled, “Don’t you call me mommy!”

‘What mom?

‘I’m a man in the most natural sense—how could I be a mommy?!

‘At least call me dad… bleh, shouldn’t you at least call me master?’

Holding that thought, Jiang He stared at the golden eaglet then, and a series of data appeared.

It took to the air and roared endlessly, projecting a ten-thousand-meter-long silhouette of itself upon the clouds that was at once menacing and ferocious.

The Dragoncroc Emperor kept yelling its demand to meet Wang Hou, that it would go on a slaughter if he didn’t come.

A scowling Wang Hou found Three Blades Lin, stared at him for three whole minutes before asking, “Were you behind what happened outside Luocheng?”

Three Blades Lin had a dark look on his face but said nothing.

Wang Hou then said, “It definitely wasn’t you. If you were that good, you wouldn’t still be divine-tempest now.”

Damn it.

Upset now, Three Blades Lin grumbled. “Minister Wang, that’s a little inappropriate for you to say that in my face…”

“Your gramps?”

“Damn it!”

Furious, Three Blades Lin seethed. “Forget belittling me in my face. Isn’t cursing me inappropriate?”

Ignoring Three Blades Lin, Wang Hou suddenly rose to his feet and said, “I’ve watched the video. The one who fought was very powerful, and not even I might win against them. In the Hua Nation… only your gramps had reached that level when it comes to blade technique.”

“Well, let’s kill away when it comes to those vermin. The Hua Nation did not enjoy its current peace entirely through negotiations, but by death. Would those Feral Kings had willingly come to the table if we did not put the fear of death in them?”

“I’ll head to Shennongjia then, and see for myself what devilry is backing the Dragoncroc Emperor!”
