Chapter 485: Three Strikes an Overdeity

The western gods’ presence was fearsome!

They had come to spread their influence, not even refraining from causing a huge commotion so that all of the west knew and could see the descent of their Divine Mountain.

And yet…

That shameless cultivator from the east had ruined everything.

If he was not killed, the gods would all end up as laughing stock!

A golden flash could be seen over the horizon shooting toward Jiang He. Behind it, heaven and earth parted: on one side was the endless, stormy seas with Divine Spirits riding it and advancing.

On the other side was divine flames that filled the skies.

The Sea God Poseidon gained divinity through the water element and finally cultivated into an Overdeity, and was said to rule the seas… of course, that legend was nonsense in Jiang He’s perspective.

And of the three Overdeities that were the God of War, God of the Seas, and God of Fire, Ares had been the strongest and most eager to fight. That was why he had charged ahead… and naturally had his head cut off by Jiang He.

Ares, the God of War, quickly rebuilt a divine body, although it was now much weaker in divine power than before. Astonishment registering all over his face, he could not help crying out, “Are you not a Grand Luo? How could you be this powerful?”

“Be careful, everyone—his sword technique contains a spiritual attack and it cuts your spirit directly!”

Those words left Poseidon and Hephaestus stunned.

There were two ways to kill an Overdeity.

The first was to destroy them to their every last atom.

The second was to vanquish their spirit.

Things were easier if that was the case… Poseidon, Hephaestus and Ares all communicated with each other, a somberness appearing on their face then.

Atop the Divine Mountain, Zeus frowned and growled, “Apollo, Athena, go assist them!”

A domain of fire spread out around him.

It was too late!

A sword light had landed on Ares already.

Having yet to recover after reshaping his divine body, he cried out shrilly for only an instant—both Poseidon and Hephaestus looked to see that Ares’s body was already reduced to dust, and his spirit that was connected on top his divinity melted like snow under the sword light.

It was only then that Jiang He’s figure materialized.

He reached and caught the divinity, staring at closely and clicking his tongue in awe. “No wonder he’s called the God of War… he assumes the path of destruction, even if that title is a little weak!”

He was a hundred meters away from Hephaestus as he spoke, but he was in front of the Fire God by the time he finished.

Whoosh!

A sword light combined with thunderbolts ignited, and the fire domain around Hephaestus was torn apart like cotton. The Fire God was hence sent flying and coughing blood, with his eyes losing light.

When he developed it, Jiang He’s Scripture of the Chaos Thundersword was added with a spiritual attack. The sword clearly was not as simple as nullifying the Fire God’s fire domain, for even Hephaestus’s spirit was maimed.

Jiang He strode forward, slamming a foot down and instantly knocking down the towering waves.

With his second stamp, his Yuan Killer Sword sliced toward and hit Poseidon directly.

With third stamp, he swung his sword down, destroying Poseidon’s body and catching his divinity that flew out, putting it away.

At that very moment, the Fire God was scared out of his wits.

Kill the cultivator from the East?

Forget it!

He turned and dashed toward the Divine Mountain. He could see from afar that two divine lights were dashing in his direction as well—Apollo and Athena were coming to help him under Zeus’s orders.

“Help…”

The Fire God shrieked.

But in the next instant, Jiang He had used teleport and reappeared above the Fire God’s head. His sword slashed and cut through his body, and he reached out to grab his divinity, wiping out the spirit that was hosted upon it as well.

While it seemed to have been a lengthy process, the truth was that it had been just three to four seconds after he cut down Ares.

Everything was happening too quickly!

On the Divine Mountain’s peak, Zeus was a little overwhelmed.

He only reacted after the Fire God’s death, and his aura quaked, causing all of the mountain to shake while his divine body expanded and he dashed out of the Divine Mountain, roaring in rage, “Damned cultivator! How dare you kill my Overdeities?”

“Athena, Apollo, return!”

At his command, both Athena and Apollo returned to the Divine Mountain right after they left, while the colossal Divine Mountain suddenly quaked and erupted with a terrifying might.

The air around the Divine Mountain rippled, with many spatial rifts soon appearing!

Jiang He’s face twitched as he looked up at the hundred thousand feet tall Zeus and exclaimed in surprise, “Demi-Saint?”

“No… that tier does not exist for western cultivators, but that one’s ability would not lose out to Demi-Saints’… is Zeus, the King of the Western Gods, that terrifying?”

Jiang He’s heart chilled.

He would not be able to best such an opponent without a fight.
